Volunteer Training Schedule 2019-2020
All Trainings are at South Portland High School Volunteers may attend any session, no pre-registration needed. Monday, September 9 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 10 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 11 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Thursday, September 12 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Friday, September 13 9:00 AM Monday, September 16 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 18 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Friday, September 20 9:00 AM Tuesday, September 24 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Thursday, September 26 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 2 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 6 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Wednesday, December 4 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM 2020 schedule will be posted in December The South Portland School Department requires that all school volunteers MUST participate in a ONE-TIME, in person, Volunteer Training in any school year starting from 2014-15 on. Volunteers may attend any session that fits their schedule. Training takes ½ hour. In addition to the one-time Training, all volunteers must submit a new online volunteer registration every year. Also, yearly background checks are required for field trip chaperones. Background check requests should be submitted one week prior to field trip. Click here for the link to the applications.
