MAINE BIOSCIENCE DAY AT MAHONEY MIDDLE SCHOOLON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 8TH, SIXTH AND SEVENTH GRADE SCIENCE STUDENTS GOT TO PARTICIPATE IN MAINE BIOSCIENCE DAY. FOUR SPEAKERS CAME TO MAHONEY: DR. DAVID CHAMPLIN, A USM PROFESSOR, DR. TERRY ROBINS, FROM ABBOTT/ALERE, AND FROM IDEXX, SARAH MILLINGTON AND DIANA RONDEAU. STUDENTS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT THE AMAZING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE BIOSCIENCE FIELDS.

International Peace Day Thursday 9/21 |
Mahoney's grade 6 team is helping clean up the coast during Maine CoastWeek. Students took gloves and bags to the water's edge around Millcreek removing debris that had washed ashore or been deposited by people or the wind.

Mahoney will again support Peace One Day with activities through Connections groups.

Mahoney students and staff raised over $400 on the first hat day of the year, this time providing some help to hurricane victims in Texas and Florida. Thanks go to Ms. Schmearer for suggesting and organizing and to all those who donated. Way to be, Mahoney!
