Mahoney Drama Club
My name is Joline Beardsley and I am the Drama Coach here at Mahoney. I have been working in the South Portland School Department for 18 years, the last 4 as the secretary to the Assistant Principals' at South Portland High School. I have been coaching the Drama Club here at Mahoney for the past 6 years.
This is a great way for your student to ease into the world of theater. We, as a group, design the scenery, create costumes, decide how to set up the stage, try out and assign parts, and help each other memorize lines. We have a group of approximately 20 students this year and we are looking forward to 2 amazing performances. Our first performance will be "Junie B. Jones and My Big Fat Mouth". We will perform this for the Elementary schools here in South Portland.
Students are welcome to join at any time of the year because we can always use an extra set of hands!
