Music announcements:
All students, faculty and staff are invited to the SPHS Home Marching Band Show to be held this Saturday, September 26th at SPHS. The Mahoney 7th/ 8th grade band will combine with the Memorial 7th/8th grade band to open the show with our National Anthem at 5:55 P.M. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. GO RIOTS!
All 7th and 8th grade band members are reminded to take instruments home for the big HOME SHOW this weekend! See Mrs. Barry with questions.
Sports Events this week
Field Hockey: Thursday, September 24th at Wescott ; 8th grade at3:30 p.m.
Boys Soccer: Friday, September 25th Vs. SMC 8th grade only at Mahoney at 3:30 p.m.
Girls Soccer: Friday, September 25th At SMC 8th grade only at Mahoney at 4:30 p.m.
Tennis: Thursday, September 24th Vs Holy Cross at SPHS at 3:30 p.m.
Football: Thursday, September 24th at Massabesic at 3:30 p.m.
Sports announcements:
The 8th grade boys’ soccer team chalked up its 2nd victory this season with a win over Wescott Middle School 1 – 0. Our next game is at home on Friday against SMC.
Yesterday the 8th grade girls’ soccer from defeated Wescott 3-0. A job well done!
Athletes can use a day off after such a great meet so there will be no practice today Thursday.

Students: A reminder to turn in your fundraiser.
Time to put on your dancing shoes!! Mahoney’s first dance of the year is THIS Friday from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $6.00. Come and join the fun! This dance is for Mahoney students only and is held in the gym. If you have not turned in your “First Day info sheets” you will not be welcome at the dance! So bring them in!
Calling all girls! Want to join a book club? There will be an all girls book club for 6th grade girls and another one for 7th and 8th grade girls. These clubs will meet during workshop and will NOT interfere with band or chorus. Come to the library SOON to sign up. These clubs are lots of fun and fill up quickly!
REMINDER: Laptops are NOT to go home until you have brought in a signed permission slip and Mr. Koelker has processed and tagged your laptop.
It is important that students lock up their bikes and use the fence closest to the building entrance. Unfortunately, bikes do and have gotten stolen so please follow the guideline above.
