Thank you for helping the PTA with your support for our Yankee Candle fundraiser. With your help selling Yankee Candles, online orders, and donations we have raised over $2,000 for our PTA. Congratulations to Ms Pitt’s homeroom, you are the winner of our Breakfast Treat Party which will happen shortly! Thank you to all the teachers, students, and families who helped support our PTA.
Mahoney’s Ski and Snowboard Club is ready to go!! Head to our website to get the details and find the necessary paperwork. Students can also pick up a packet in the main office. There are only 50 slots, so if your student wants to join, please get both the forms and the payment in ASAP.
The South Portland Clubhouse is offering the following for our middle schoolers:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine Middle School Debate Team – Practice Fridays 4:30-6:00 pm starting 10/13 at the Portland Clubhouse, meets against Yarmouth Middle School, Cape Elizabeth Middle School, NYA, and Falmouth Middle School. Transportation to and from practice can be provided by the South Portland Clubhouse. This is the second year we have competed in this league.
Mindstorms – Lego Robotics. Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 pm, starting 10/17 at the South Portland Clubhouse. Build your EV3 robot and put the robot through programming challenges.

Sports Notes:
**Fall seasons are over please drop off clean uniforms to the office ASAP!
The cross country team will be meeting after school today in room 11 so that the coaches can collect uniforms and the team can enjoy some refreshments to celebrate a successful year. Please remember to bring your uniform.
Basketball signups are outside of the main office. Practices begin next week!
Below are the practice times for basketball this year agreed upon by all the coaches, please note the slight change to Friday’s practice times.
Ipad photography group will meet days 1 and 3 during workshop in room 209. Anyone who is not drafted is free to attend.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday 8:10-8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. Hey skiers and snowboarders! It’s time to start thinking about snow! Are you interested in heading to Shawnee Peak with your classmates this winter? Stop by and pick up a packet of information to learn about Mahoney Ski and Snowboard Club! There is a limited number of spots, so if you are interested, get the paperwork into the main office soon!

Performance Jazz rehearses Tuesday and Friday mornings each week.
Training Jazz continues on Thursday. If you missed last week, come on by!
7th and 8th Honors audition prep rehearsals are Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning.
