The past couple of years the PTA have asked students to sell Yankee Candle items in order to raise money. This year we have decided to do a 'No Frills' fundraiser. Many of you may be familiar with this idea. Instead of asking families to buy and sell items, we are looking for families to simply make a donation. Please click here for the details. As with any fundraiser, we thank you very much for your support!
The Fall Sports Season is over. Please help your student-athlete to return all uniforms.
**Winter Sports Season Notes**
Homework Club - Homework club will begin this week in the Mahoney library. Homework club runs from 2:30-3:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school to get help from staff members. Each day there are 2 adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.

7th and 8th grade basketball signups are outside the main office. The season will begin on Monday November 7th.
Homework club For those that are unfamiliar Homework club runs Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in the library. This is a great opportunity for students to stay after school with Mahoney staff to get some extra help on assignments. Please know that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome!
Students, the cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 7:50. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
Drama Club: We will not have auditions today…...we will meet to discuss our fundraiser!
The chill in the air inside is an indication that cold weather is here. Please remember that you are expected to stay outside until the 7:35 bell rings. Be sure to dress warmly or plan to arrive after 7:35.
Music:
*Performance Jazz rehearses on Friday morning. We start at 7:15 a.m. sharp. Please sign in to homeroom first.
*Training Jazz meets Thursday mornings. See Mrs. Barry to get your name on the list! New members welcome!
*Beginner Band runs on Mondays immediately after school in room 201.
*District One 7 and 8 Honors Band audition practice sessions are Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning before school. Please see Mrs. Barry if there are conflicts. Auditions are this Wednesday October 26th! Good luck!
Before I move onto the sports news, I want to share with the students that there were some concerns about the way the outside of the high school sports fields were left. While I know that it was not only Mahoney students that were playing around in the area behind the snack shack, I was very disappointed to see so much trash left behind. Like I say in the cafeteria, while the mess might not be all yours, please do not leave a mess for someone else to clean up.

- All students need a signed contract (one per calendar year) and proof of valid physical to participate in athletics.
