Today’s yearbook meeting has been cancelled.
Drama Club has been cancelled for today.
The South Portland Clubhouse is offering the following for our middle schoolers:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine Middle School Debate Team – Practice Fridays 4:30-6:00 pm starting 10/13 at the Portland Clubhouse, meets against Yarmouth Middle School, Cape Elizabeth Middle School, NYA, and Falmouth Middle School. Transportation to and from practice can be provided by the South Portland Clubhouse. This is the second year we have competed in this league.
Mindstorms – Lego Robotics. Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 pm, starting 10/17 at the South Portland Clubhouse. Build your EV3 robot and put the robot through programming challenges.

Sports Notes:
Boys Soccer practice @ Mahoney. 3:00-4:30
No Girls Soccer practice tonight
Field Hockey practice @ Wainwright. 3:20 shuttle, practice 3:45-5:15.
No Cross Country practice - the season has ended.
No Tennis practice - the season has ended.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday 8:10-8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. Would you like to set up a lunch account for your student? Do you know what the balance is on your student’s account? Head to myschoolbucks.com to take care of this!

Sports Notes:
The Field Hockey team lost a great game to Scarborough yesterday 2-1. Great defense was played by Bonnie Johnston and Jordan Bastarach. The last game of the Field Hockey season is this Friday.
Boys soccer and field hockey will practice this afternoon. If there are changes due to weather we will make the announcement at 11:05 and 2:05.
No Girls soccer practice today.
Congratulations to both the tennis and cross country teams on successful seasons.
Music:
The instrument repair man will be here every Monday at 1:00 p.m. Please bring them to 201 and make sure you see Mrs. Barry.
Performance Jazz rehearses Tuesday and Friday mornings each week.
Training Jazz continues on Thursday. If you missed last week, come on by!
7th and 8th Honors audition prep rehearsals are Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning. Auditions are Wednesday October 25th.
Beginner Band meets Monday after school.
