Due to the early release, students’ first related arts classes will meet and dismissal will be at 12:15.
The Mahoney water bottles are going fast! Be sure to get an order in soon!
Parents feel free to come check out our lost and found outside the Main office. There are water bottles, sports bags and many jackets. Everything will be donated to Goodwill over February break.
Yearbook: A reminder to yearbook staff twice a week meetings will start this week. Yearbook staff will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

MUSIC:
Performance Jazz will rehearse Thursday and Friday.
7 and 8 Honors Band will rehearse today after school. Please bring your honors music to class with you each day this week.
6th Honors band members: please bring your honors music to school every day.
Training Jazz will rehearse Thursday morning.
Sports News:
Indoor Track and Swimming sign-ups are outside the main office.
Practices start 2/11/19 for indoor track and 2/13/19 for swimming.
If you missed the swimming meeting, stop by the office for some information.
There will be an Indoor Track meeting Thursday (2/8) in room 110 after school for anyone interested in track.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Thank you to everyone for being flexible and understanding as we ran the pilot schedule last week. Mahoney’s Leadership Team is looking for your feedback! Today you will be asked to answer a few questions about the pilot schedule. Let us know what you think!
Homework Club runs today and will run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting..
