| Wednesday September 7, 2016 Day 1 Students, the Boys and Girls Club is closed until 9/12….Please plan for after school accordingly. Back to School Reminders: School starts at 7:55 Doors open for breakfast at 7:35 and dismissal is at 2:15 Welcome back for your second day! A reminder that our doors open at 7:35 and all students are welcome to head downstairs to the cafeteria for breakfast. When the 7:50 bell rings, please head to your homeroom as our morning announcements begin at 7:55 and any students that arrive to homeroom after 7:55 will be considered late and will need a late pass from the office. Students, our first dance of the year will be held on Friday September 16, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the gym. We hope to see everyone there for this fun event! School Pictures will be taken on Friday September 16th. Students, please make sure the order form gets home! Please go through your student’s first day packet and fill out and return the necessary forms by Friday 9/9! THANK YOU! Music: 6th graders wishing to start an instrument need to see Mrs. Barry as soon as possible. All Students, Mrs. Swenson and Mrs. Barry welcome you back, and encourage you to join band and chorus. See them this week for information! Sports: Fall sport sign ups are outside the Main Office. If you want to play a sport you must have a valid physical and contract turned into the office. All those interested in playing soccer this fall, there will be a both a boys and girls soccer meeting Thursday after school. All those interested in playing tennis this fall, there will be a meeting today, in room 111 after school. Attention those interested in running cross country this fall. The Mahoney Cross Country team will hold its first meeting and practice today, Wednesday, September 7th. Runners are encouraged to get their permission forms and physical verification sheets in as soon as possible. Those interested in running should be in their practice attire by 2:30 Wednesday. We will meet outside the locker rooms in the lower hallway.
