Please note that our school day officially begins at 8:10 with our cafeteria serving breakfast. All students should be in their homerooms no later than 8:30 and the period 1 class begins at 8:35.
The Drama Club will meet Thursday (1/4) this week.
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 2:50-3:50 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday 8:10-8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. Would you like to set up a lunch account for your student? Do you know what the balance is on your student’s account? Head to myschoolbucks.com to take care of this!
An important message from our Mayor:
The South Portland City Council will hold a meeting in each of the voting districts to share with residents what is going on in the city and then open the meeting to comments or questions from residents in attendance. Staff will be present to answer questions.
The meeting for residents living in District 3 will take place on Thursday, January 4th at 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kaler School.
We look forward to seeing you and hearing your thoughts regarding our city.
Sports Notes
There is a slight change to the practice schedule tonight, Wednesday, January 3rd.
3:00-4:15 - 7th AND 8th grade boys combined practice
4:15-5:30 - 8th grade girls
5:30-6:45 - 7th grade girls
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.
Student Morning Announcements: Wednesday, January 3, 2018 Day 1
There will be IW for grades 6 and 7. A reminder about IW now, ipads will not be used for gaming down in workshop. The only reason your ipads will be out is if you’re doing school work. All those with ipads will be at the long tables and everyone please bring some pen and paper work to do. If you need something to leisurely read stop by the library during the day today.

Reminder to chorus students that your concert notices are due on Thursday. If you need another copy there are some located outside Mrs. Swensons door!
Training and Performance Jazz resume rehearsals; Performance will rehearse this Friday, and Training Jazz will start next week on Thursday.
