The 8th grade is in need of chaperones and food for the first dance of the year!
Friday, Sept. 16 6-8 p.m. (parents arrive about 5:55, snack table volunteers around 5:55)
Need chaperones for the dance, people to man the snack table, and people to provide snacks, drinks, cups, and napkins.

Student Morning Announcements:
Students, our first dance of the year will be held on Friday September 16, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the gym. We hope to see everyone there for this fun event!
There will be a quick Civil Rights Team meeting for 7th and 8th graders this Thursday morning at 7:10. 6th graders, don’t worry, you will be invited to the next meeting.

Music:
*The Jazz reading session was great Tuesday; thanks to all who attended. We’ll meet briefly on Friday to finish playing one song and enjoy a treat, as well as share our impressions of the music. Please let Mrs. Barry know if you can come--same time, same place!
*The South Portland High School Marching Band will host the first show of the season this Saturday, September 17th, at the HS. The show starts at 6 p.m. and all are invited. All band members, please remember we are asking for donated baked goods in support of the music program. Items can be brought in Friday before the end of the day, or delivered to the HS on Saturday in the afternoon. Thanks!
