Reminder to 7th and 8th graders auditioning for the Honors Festival chorus, we are rehearsing this morning or Friday before school at 8AM. Check your email for your night before reminder!
The Community Coat Rack is back, and located in front of the boy's bathroom in the basement across from the Art Room. These warm coats are available for any student in need, and may be accessed at any time. If you have a gently-worn winter coat that no longer fits, please consider donating it to the Community Coat Rack! See Mrs. Zellers or Mr. Smith down in JMG for details about donations! Stay warm Raiders!
Today is the beginning of the Mahoney FOOD FEUD! If you have brought donations, please bring them to your Connections teachers when you arrive at school first thing in the morning. They will be picked up later today and counted towards class totals. The FOOD FEUD will run for one month starting today! Let's do some good for our Mahoney community!
There is no DnD club meeting this week.
Game Club is meeting Friday after school because of the Early Release day Wednesday, in Mr. Risbara’s room, room 111. New members are always welcome.
We encourage students from throughout the community to support our high school teams and enjoy a positive experience at our events. To provide a safe environment for all of our student spectators, elementary and middle school students attending South Portland High School athletic contests must be accompanied by and under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or responsible adult chaperone at all times during contests. Game staff will be monitoring entry points to our facilities to ensure young children do not attend games unsupervised. Students who are unsupervised will be asked to call home and for parents to come pick them up.
Students, the SPHS senior class is sponsoring a dodgeball tournament. Interested? Check out the information outside the main office and in the cafe. Use the QR code to sign up or stop by the main office to pick up a paper copy.
The much anticipated Mahoney Raider wear is on sale for a limited time until October 28th. Check the Mahoney website for more information on ordering!
NWEA makeups will continue today All 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders who did not finish or were absent for the reading test will begin testing right after announcements in the cafeteria.
Our virtual author visit will be happening next week! Can you guess the author? Here is your next clue: It might be STRANGE to say, but this author writes about BIRDS, PUNKS, and luchadores. Maybe we should have told you that FIRST.
Get your guesses in by the end of the day! The winner will be announced tomorrow, along with the name of our visiting author.
