DND club will meet Wednesday after school in Mr. Smith’s room, room 11. Bring your dice and be ready to roll!
These are the last two weeks to preorder a yearbook for $28. The price increases to $30 after February break. Order online from the Mahoney webpage or see Mr. Patashnik before or after school with cash or check.
Mahoney is participating in the Maine Student Book Award program this year. The Maine Student Book Award is a student choice award where you get to vote for the winner. If you read three books from the list, you are eligible to vote. If you read five books, you will be invited to the Mahoney MSBA Celebration, and if your read 20 books, you will be highlighted on the MSBA website. Please see Ms. Blakemore in the library for more information.
Today in the cafeteria we will have a dish prepared by a guest chef. In addition to the daily special on the menu we will also serve Angolan rice and beans with Halal chicken. There will be fliers in the cafeteria as well as surveys to help us improve offerings at lunch time.
Winter sports sign ups are still outside the main office. Indoor track starts on Monday 2/13 and Swimming starts after February break. Stay tuned for an indoor track meeting later this week.
Teachers, please check your email about students being dismissed for early release today for the jazz band festival. Jazz band students, 1:35pm is your requested dismissal time from class, please come directly to the auditorium from class. Much to 6th grade’s disappointment, there is no WINN band today.
