Interested in being part of Mahoney’s fun and active Student Council? Please join us! Student Council is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and our first meeting will be next Wednesday, October 14th at 7:15 a.m. in Ms Schmearer’s room, room 113. Hope to see you there!
Fall Fundraiser: Thank you for taking some time to see if your family and friends would like to support Mahoney by purchasing something from the Yankee Candle catalog. Every little sale helps!
Homework Club:
Students, are you looking for a quiet place to do some work after school? Head up to the Mahoney library Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday afternoons between 2:30 and 3:30. All grades are welcome!
Library News:
This Saturday, October 10 is Star Wars Reads Day! For every book you borrow from the library this week, you can enter to win a Star Wars themed prize! Prizes are on display in the library, along with other free goodies, including Star Wars pencils and bookmarks. Reading: it’s our only hope.
Chorus/Music News:
Any 7th or 8th grade chorus member who is interested in auditioning for honors chorus must meet Mrs. Swenson from 7:20-7:50 OR 2:15-2:45 on Tuesday, October 13 for a rehearsal. You MUST attend one of the Tuesday rehearsals to be eligible for auditions.
7th and 8th grade Honors band meets Thursday after school and Wednesday morning.
Training Jazz will rehearse this Thursday.

8th Grade Boys Soccer beat Bonny Eagle 3-1 on Monday. Anthony Perron 2 Goals, 1 Assist. Flynn McNally 1 Goal, 1 Assist. Zach Greely 1 Assist
