The South Portland School Department requires that all school volunteers MUST participate in a ONE-TIME Volunteer Training in school year 2014-15 or after. Volunteers may attend any session, at any school, that fits their schedule. You are welcome to bring your children. Sessions are about ½ hour.
Additional dates and locations for Volunteer Trainings will be scheduled and announced throughout the school year. Schedule will be posted on the spsd.org website under the drop down menu Students/Parents or District.
All volunteers must submit a new volunteer registration every year. Also, yearly background checks are required for field trip chaperones. Applications should be submitted one week prior to field trip.
