Stuff-a-bus begins this week and ends Nov. 17th. Here is some pertinent info:
For informational purposes - Preble Street serves Greater Portland in a number of ways, including three separate kitchens (A teen center location, the women's shelter kitchen and the general dining facility) and a food =pantry to help those who may be unemployed, disabled or just struggling to get by. The non-perishable food items and monetary donations help Preble Street to run these particular services. (Cash/checks help Preble Street to purchase that which can NOT be kept on a shelf.
If we could request to avoid glass containers, please. Cans, boxes of pasta and such, plastic containers and the like which can be sorted and easily stored. We try to avoid glass as one broken jar of spaghetti sauce can make a real mess.

The Boys and Girls club will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Friday - November 6th, 7th and 10th.
Ski and Snowboard Club is full. Everyone who got their paperwork and payment in last week should have received an email from Mrs. Stilphen letting families know that their student is all set.
There will be a Drama meeting today in the auditorium at 3:00

Basketball tryouts and practices begin this afternoon. Be sure you have an updated physical and have turned in your athletic contract to be eligible to participate. Practice schedules are available in the main office.

Ipad photography group will meet days 1 and 3 during workshop in room 209. Anyone who is not drafted is free to attend.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday 8:10-8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. The instrument repair man will be here every Monday at 1:00 p.m. Please bring them to 201 and make sure you see Mrs. Barry before then.

Today for Media Literacy Week, we will be exploring intertextuality in the Netflix series Stranger Things with 80s pop culture bingo during workshop in the library. (Spoilers for season one only.)
