PARENT NOTES:
Ski Club:
The Mahoney Ski Club heads to Shawnee Peak tonight. We will be leaving Mahoney at 2:45 and returning to school at approximately 9:15 tonight.
Drama and Student Council are partnering up to lead a fundraiser on Friday. We will be asking for a dollar donation for those that want to wear hats. It will be another "Support the Patriots......or any other team..." day. All $$ will be donated to our local Coast Guard.
Yearbook: A reminder to yearbook staff twice a week meetings will start this week. Yearbook staff will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Performance Jazz will rehearse Tuesday and Friday this week.
Beginner Band will practice after school today.
Training Jazz will rehearse Thursday morning this week.
7 and 8 Honors Band please bring your honors music to class with you each day this week.
6th Honors band members: please bring your honors music to school every day. We will rehearse Wednesday after school.
Sports News:
Indoor Track and Swimming sign-ups are outside the main office.
Practices start 2/11/19 for indoor track and 2/13/19 for swimming.
There will be a Swimming Meeting Thursday, 1/31, after school for all those interested.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

There will be IW for grades 6 and 8 this afternoon.
8th grade connections teacher should have 8th grade superlative ballots (one per student) - all ballots due in Mr. Patashnik’s mailbox no later than end of the day Wednesday or they will not be counted
The Math meet that was scheduled for this morning has been moved to Thursday this week at the same time.

Thank you to everyone for being flexible and understanding as we ran the pilot schedule last week. Mahoney’s Leadership Team is looking for your feedback! Today you will be asked to answer a few questions about the pilot schedule. Let us know what you think!
