Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
Would you like to set up a lunch account for your student? Does your student need more money on his/her account? Head to myschoolbucks.com to take care of this!

Sports notes from last night:
8th grade softball beat Bonny Eagle last night, Lily McFarlin pitched a complete game and two doubles from Maddi Bunnell- Parker lead the offensive charge.
8th grade baseball lost last night, Johnny Poole and Andrew Heffernan combined to reach base 4 times and score 3 runs, but it wasn't enough to overcome Bonny Eagle in a 6-4 loss on Monday. The Riots never recovered from an early deficit and some defensive misplays at key times. South Portland will be looking to bounce back on Thursday at home vs. Falmouth.
The Girls Lacrosse team won big over Scarborough yesterday by a score of 13-7.
