7th and 8th Honors band practices continue this week--Today after school and Wednesday before school.
Sports:
In the case of poor weather, cancellation decision will be made by 1:00pm and announcements will be made on our school website and our twitter pages.
7th and 8th Grade Boys Soccer - Practice at Mahoney from 3:00-4:30. Wednesdays and Fridays only.
7th and 8th Grade Girls Soccer - Practice at Mahoney from 3:00-4:30. Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
Field Hockey - Practice at Wainwright Fields, daily, from 3:45-5:15. The shuttle leaves Wainwright at 5:15
(to be brought back to Mahoney).
Tennis - Practice at SPHS Tennis courts, daily, from 3:00-4:30. There is NO return shuttle for Tennis.
Cross Country - Practice at Mahoney, daily, from 3:00-4:00.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club starts today and runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

Student Morning Announcements: Tuesday, October 9, 2018 Day 5
There will be IW for grades 6 and 8 this afternoon.
There will be a drama meeting this Wednesday at 3:00. If you are interested please attend!

Tonight:
The 8th grade boys soccer team lost 3-2 to King Thursday night. Joey Hanlon and Griffin Tetzlaff scored and Connor Corcoran assisted on both. Kipp Gill played an excellent defensive game, Lucas Mehlhorn and Jack Smart brought excellent energy covering the field.
The 7th Grade girls soccer won 3-0 last Thursday. Olivia Bean had 2 goals and Lucy Boudreau had 1. Goals assisted by Anya O’Donnell and Lucie Boudreau. Defensive players of the game were Emily Richards and Olivia Uhde. Congratulations to Goalie Amara Quimby for a shutout performance. Great teamwork by all!
