Stuff-a-bus begins this week and ends Nov. 17th. Here is some pertinent info:
For informational purposes - Preble Street serves Greater Portland in a number of ways, including three separate kitchens (A teen center location, the women's shelter kitchen and the general dining facility) and a food =pantry to help those who may be unemployed, disabled or just struggling to get by. The non-perishable food items and monetary donations help Preble Street to run these particular services. (Cash/checks help Preble Street to purchase that which can NOT be kept on a shelf.
If we could request to avoid glass containers, please. Cans, boxes of pasta and such, plastic containers and the like which can be sorted and easily stored. We try to avoid glass as one broken jar of spaghetti sauce can make a real mess.
