Student Council meets tomorrow morning at 7:40 in room 214.
Civil Rights Team will meet Monday morning at 7:40.
MUSIC:
7th and 8th Honors band audition practices will be Tuesday after school and Wednesday before school this week. Auditions are next Wednesday, October 24th!
Training Jazz will rehearse Thursday morning this week. New members are welcome!
Performance Jazz will rehearse Tuesday and Friday morning this week.
Sports:
Field Hockey @ Gorham. 2:55 bus, 3:45 game start.
Tennis Home @ SPHS Courts. 2:55 shuttle, 3:45 meet start.
In the case of poor weather, cancellation decision will be made by 1:00pm and announcements will be made on our school website and our twitter pages.
7th and 8th Grade Boys Soccer - Practice at Mahoney from 3:00-4:30. Wednesdays and Fridays only.
7th and 8th Grade Girls Soccer - Practice at Mahoney from 3:00-4:30. Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
Field Hockey - Practice at Wainwright Fields, daily, from 3:45-5:15. The shuttle leaves Wainwright at 5:15
(to be brought back to Mahoney).
Tennis - Practice at SPHS Tennis courts, daily, from 3:00-4:30. There is NO return shuttle for Tennis.
Cross Country - Practice at Mahoney, daily, from 3:00-4:00.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

There will be a Yearbook Meeting tomorrow after school in room 122
The Drama Club will meet tomorrow after school in the auditorium
Student Council meets tomorrow morning at 7:40 in room 214.
Civil Rights Team will meet Monday morning at 7:40.
Just a reminder, phones should be turned off and either in your locker or bag for the entire day!
Homework Club runs today and will run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
Students, please be reminded that bags and iPads should not be brought into the cafe at breakfast or lunch. Also, all food and drink, other than water, needs to be finish and disposed of prior to heading to class.

Field Hockey plays at Gorham, the bus will leave at 2:55.
Tennis has a home meet, make sure to take the normal shuttle to the courts.

Chorus: Honors Chorus Auditioners should drop in to work with Mrs Swenson on Tuesday, October 16 between 7:45-8:15 OR 2:45-3:15. Please attend at least one of these sessions to practice sight singing and run through the audition song again.

Do you have an idea? A question? A passion? The Mahoney Idea Lab may be the place for you. If you’re interested in developing an Idea Lab project, talk to Ms. Gartley in the library.
