8th Grade Band members; Peak’s Island is THIS Saturday! Are you ready?!
7th graders attending Peak’s: we will rehearse music Tuesday after school and Thursday before school this week. Please attend the 8th grade band rehearsal Wednesday if at all possible.
Color guard will practice Wednesday after school and Thursday morning this week.
Performance Jazz will rehearse Friday morning.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Green Team:
Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

There will be IW for grades 7 and 8 this afternoon.
Sports results from last night:
The Grade 8 baseball team outscored Gorham 8-7 Monday before rain cut the game short. Nolan Hobbs' 2-run triple scored the final two runs of the game and allowed SP to retake the lead. Griffin Tetzlaff and Noah Erskine combined for 2 hits, an RBI and a run scored for SP.

It is great to have you back! Want to head somewhere during period 7? Students must provide a pass to their teacher before heading out of their workshop classroom. Thank you!
