The South Portland Clubhouse is offering the following for our middle schoolers:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine Middle School Debate Team – Practice Fridays 4:30-6:00 pm starting 10/13 at the Portland Clubhouse, meets against Yarmouth Middle School, Cape Elizabeth Middle School, NYA, and Falmouth Middle School. Transportation to and from practice can be provided by the South Portland Clubhouse. This is the second year we have competed in this league.
Mindstorms – Lego Robotics. Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 pm, starting 10/17 at the South Portland Clubhouse. Build your EV3 robot and put the robot through programming challenges.

Rippleffect: The first session of Fall ROLE begins tonight from 2:40-5:00 at Mahoney and Mill Creek Park. Membership is full for this Fall session, but if interested there are spots available for the Winter and Spring sessions.
Sports Notes:
Field Hockey Home Game @ Wainwright. 3:20 shuttle, 4:00 game start.
Cross Country Festival @ SP Golf Course (across from Memorial MS). 2:00 bus, 3:15 meet start.
Girls Soccer practice @ Mahoney, 3:00-4:30.
No Boys Soccer practice this afternoon.
No Tennis practice - Tennis season has ended.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday 8:10-8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. Rippleffect students will be dismissed at 2:40 to begin your first ROLE session in Room 11.
Just a reminder, phones should be turned off and either in your locker or bag for the entire day!
Interested in joining Student Council? It’s not too late! Please join us in Ms. Schmearer’s room, room 213, this Wednesday morning, October 25th at 7:30 a.m. We are already planning Spirit Week and a few other fun events! See Ms. Schmearer with questions!
Sports Notes:
Last night, the 8th grade boys soccer team won 4-1 yesterday. Joey Perron scored twice, with Rowan Turner and Owen Maloney both adding a goal. Cullen Adams assisted twice, and Nic Boudreau had one. Kai Nault had an excellent game on defense.
Field Hockey has a home game tonight at Wainwright, the shuttle will be here at 3:20.
Cross Country has its final meet tonight at the South Portland Golf Course. Runners will be dismissed at 1:50 to catch the 2:00 bus, make sure to see your teachers for any work you may miss.
Girls Soccer has practice after school.
There is no Boys soccer practice today.
Music:
The instrument repair man will be here every Monday at 1:00 p.m. Please bring them to 201 and make sure you see Mrs. Barry.
Performance Jazz rehearses Tuesday and Friday mornings each week.
Training Jazz continues on Thursday. If you missed last week, come on by!
7th and 8th Honors audition prep rehearsals are Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning. Auditions are Wednesday October 25th.
Beginner Band meets Monday after school.

Comic Readers Circle will meet today during workshop in the library.
