Rippleffect: Rippleffect’s Spring program is open to 14, 6th and 7th grade students at Mahoney and is designed to develop leadership, confidence, awareness and interpersonal skills through outdoor adventure. The ROLE program consists of 4, 2.5 hour after-school sessions, a 3-day weekend on Cow Island, and a culminating graduation ceremony. Paperwork is available in the Main Office, there are 9 spots remaining!

Performance Jazz will rehearse Friday morning. Some members HAVE NOT turned in their activities form yet! We will also rehearse Monday March 18 after school.
Beginner Band will meet today after school.
All musicians, our concert is March 13th! That’s tomorrow at SPHS.
Training Jazz will rehearse Thursday morning this week.

Indoor track practice: 3:00-4:00 in the Mahoney Gym
Swimming practice: shuttle leaves Mahoney at 3:00 (brings students to the Community Center) and returns approximately 4:40 for parent pickup.
SPRING SPORTS - Sign ups are outside the main office. Baseball, softball and lacrosse are open to both 7th and 8th graders while outdoor track is open to all grades. Practices begin Monday, April 1st.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

The are new colors available for the Mahoney water bottles. Come down to the office to get an updated order form and check out the new offerings!
Students, please check out the lost and found outside the Main office. There are water bottles, sports bags and many jackets. .
Homework Club runs today and will run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
Students do you have a short story or a question for the Mahoney Weekly Raider Newspaper? Drop it off in the main office.
Students, please be reminded that bags and iPads should not be brought into the cafe at breakfast or lunch. Also, all food and drink, other than water, needs to be finish and disposed of prior to heading to class.
Are you a 7th or 8th grader who loves to sing, dance and be on the stage? Head the SPHS Chorus Room on Sunday, March 24th from 6:00-8:00 to possibly be a part of this year’s high school musical, NEWSIES! Sign up in the main office or to get more information.
