MUSIC:
Performance Jazz will rehearse Wednesday morning. The District Festival is Wednesday--good luck! We will meet Friday morning as well.
All Jazz musicians: IF there is a snow day Wednesday, Performance Jazz will practice Thursday morning. The snow date for the festival is Thursday afternoon.
Training Jazz, please come to the meeting Friday morning if you can.
7 and 8 Honors Band Please bring your honors music to class with you each day this week. 6th Honors band members: please bring your honors music to school every day.
Sports News:
Indoor track practice starts today (Monday) 3:00-4:00 in the Mahoney Gym
Swimming starts Wednesday. Shuttle leaves Mahoney at 3:00 (brings students to the Community Center) and returns approximately 4:40 for parent pickup.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

There will be Ski/Snowboard club today after school. Please listen to the dismissal announcement around 2:30 to start changing up.
There will be a yearbook meeting this afternoon to take the picture and Mr. Patashnik says that there will be new lollipops!
The Drama Club will rehearse today 3:00 - 5:00 All need to attend!!
The are new colors available for the Mahoney water bottles. Come down to the office to get an updated order form and check out the new offerings!
Students, please check out the lost and found outside the Main office. There are water bottles, sports bags and many jackets. Everything will be donated to Goodwill over February break.
