PARENT NOTES:
Auditions for grade 6, 7, and 8 performers in this year's SPHS Musical Theatre production of Seussical will be on Sunday, 03/15/2020 from 2:30-4:00 in the SPHS Auditorium. See posters for details, and please send any questions to sopohighmusical@gmail.com or director Mrs. Gay - gaysa@spsdme.org.
ATTENTION SKI CLUB FAMILIES: We are still missing two sets of poles that were mistakenly picked up at the end of the night after our last trip. Please check the equipment brought home that night before it gets stored away. One set is black and gray Rossignol’s.
8th grade students and families. You are invited to South Portland High School Transition Night on Monday, March 16th, from 5:30-7 pm. There will be time to talk to teachers and school counselors, tour the school, and hear presentations from many wonderful high school folks. Please see the attached flier for lots of information.
Please tell your student to not go on Brown School property unless they are picking up a younger sibling.

The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Training Jazz will rehearse Thursday morning-we’re playing at our concert, so get to rehearsal!
The Mahoney Band concert is March 18th; concert notices have been assigned and are due! Check google classroom or see Mrs. Barry for a print copy.
The South Portland Jazz Night will be March 31st, so keep working, jazz groups!

Student Morning Announcements: Tuesday, March 10, 2020 Day 1
There is IW for grades 6 and 7 this afternoon.
Yearbook pre sale begins tomorrow 3/11. Cost is $27.00 until April vacation at which time the price will increase. Cash or check ...see Mr. Patashnik room 122

There is plenty of news about how to keep the germs away during cold and flu season. Please continue to use the soap in the bathroom, as well as the hand sanitizers located throughout the building during the day. Coughing and sneezing into your arm and away from others helps to lessen the spread of germs.
There will be a school dance this Friday from 6-8 in the Mahoney gym. The cost for admission is $6 and is open for current Mahoney students only.
Please do not go on Brown School property unless you are picking up a younger sibling. Please represent Mahoney in a positive way--Thank you!
Please stay out of the bus loop! Especially after school--we want to keep everyone safe.
Just a reminder, cell phones should be turned off and either in your locker for the entire day! Be sure to store away your earbuds and silence your smart watches.

- To be eligible for athletics students need to maintain a 2.5 HOW average in all three HOW categories. Mr. Ouellet runs reports on Monday mornings; students and parents will be contacted if there is a concern of eligibility.
