Mahoney, we value reading and love to see all staff and students reading during SSR! Are you struggling to find a book that you enjoy reading? Are you looking for something new?
Would you like Ms. Blakemore to hand select a bag of books just for you? Fill out a simple form and she will curate 5-7 books for you to check out. Read the ones you want. Return the ones you don't. You can get the form from your Humanities teacher, in the main office, or in the library
Students, when you arrive on school grounds after 8:10, please come right into the building. Thank you!
There is 6th grade chorus right now in the auditorium- if you haven’t made it to chorus rehearsal yet 6th grade chorus members- please head to the auditorium now!
There is 7th grade chorus during WINN today in room 205.
8th Grade Band meets today in the auditorium. 8th Grade Band members please make sure to read your Band Classroom Stream message.
The entire Mahoney community is invited to the HOME Marching Band Show THIS Saturday night October 2! The marching band show starts at 5:00 p.m. and a small admission fee gets you an afternoon and early evening of exciting music, great marching and visual effects! Come support music and the South Portland program this Saturday!
JMG will be recycling classrooms this morning. Teachers, please have a student place the recycling bin in the hallway to be emptied. Thank you.
The Yearbook Club will have its first meeting today right after school, in room 122.
Student Council will meet on Wednesday in room 213 at 7:45am
Outdoor Club Members, please meet in RM 12 (in the basement next to the Art Room) by 3 PM this afternoon. You can leave your bikes and helmets outside. You will have a chance to get them before we get started with our activity.
Students, have you checked your email lately? Please make sure you know how to access your school email, that you do check it daily--you never know what you might find!
Everyone, this is a reminder about the importance of keeping your mask on, over your mouth and nose while in the building.
You need to be in your Connections room no later than 8:30. We had too many students coming in late this morning. Leave you home 5 minutes sooner and you will be all set!

7th grade boys soccer team tied Lewiston yesterday 3-3.

The 8th grade boys soccer team lost 8-6 yesterday. Casey Corcoran scored 4 times, with Gabe Babineau and Wylee Ames both adding one. Jonah Cooke assisted twice, and Alden Phillips once. Isaiah Arnold had a strong game through the midfield.
Due to the construction going on by the SP golf course. Our home Cross country meet on Wednesday 9/29 will be at Wainwright @. 3:45 pm.
Field Hockey game vs Lyman is cancelled.
Soccer players please do not wear cleats inside the building.
Practices are on as scheduled this afternoon.
