MUSIC:
7th and 8th Honors band audition practices will be Tuesday after school and Wednesday before school next week. Auditions are next Wednesday, October 24th!
Training Jazz will rehearse Thursday morning this week. New members are welcome!
Performance Jazz will rehearse Friday morning this week.The instrument repair man has started visiting Mahoney--he will be here every Monday at 1:00 p.m. If you need anything, see Mrs. Barry in 201!

Field Hockey @ Westbrook. 2:55 bus, 3:45 game start.
Tennis Home @ SPHS Courts. 2:55 shuttle, 3:30 meet start.
In the case of poor weather, cancellation decision will be made by 1:00pm and announcements will be made on our school website and our twitter pages.
7th and 8th Grade Boys Soccer - Practice at Mahoney from 3:00-4:30. Wednesdays and Fridays only.
7th and 8th Grade Girls Soccer - Practice at Mahoney from 3:00-4:30. Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
Field Hockey - Practice at Wainwright Fields, daily, from 3:45-5:15. The shuttle leaves Wainwright at 5:15
(to be brought back to Mahoney).
Tennis - Practice at SPHS Tennis courts, daily, from 3:00-4:30. There is NO return shuttle for Tennis.
Cross Country - Practice at Mahoney, daily, from 3:00-4:00.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

Civil Rights Team will meet Monday morning at 7:40.
Just a reminder, phones should be turned off and either in your locker or bag for the entire day!
Homework Club runs today and will run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
Students, please be reminded that bags and iPads should not be brought into the cafe at breakfast or lunch. Also, all food and drink, other than water, needs to be finish and disposed of prior to heading to class.

The 7th/8th grade boys soccer team won @ SMC yesterday 3-2. Joey Hanlon scored twice and Lucas Mehlhorn once, assisted by Griffin Tetzlaff twice and Miles Wetzel once. Logan Rall had an excellent game on defense.
There will be no Girls Soccer practice this afternoon. The next soccer games will be Friday afternoon.
Tonight:
Field Hockey plays at Westbrook. 2:55 bus.
Tennis will play home at the high school courts - please take the normal shuttle to the match
