Attention 6th grade Parents!!!
Can you believe it's almost time for the 5th and 6th grade dance?! Seems like yesterday that we were welcoming in your kids to the dance as incoming 6th graders! The dance will be held Friday May 31st from 6-8 pm and as always is $6 to get in.
Parents we need your help, we couldn't do this without you.
We have a list of items that are needed (sign up sheet is forthcoming) and if you can donate please let Marissa Lyons know what you can bring and if you can bring it during the school day or at 6pm with your child attending the dance!

7th Grade Baseball Home @ Mahoney. 3:45 game time.
8th Grade Baseball Optional Batting Practice @ 3:30
Girls LAX Home @ Wainwright. 3:00 shuttle, 3:45 game time.
Boys LAX @ Kennebunk. 3:00 bus, 7th grade at 4:00 and 8th grade at 5:00.

8th Grade Band members; Peak’s Island is THIS Saturday! Are you ready?!
7th graders attending Peak’s: we will rehearse music Tuesday after school and Thursday before school this week. Please attend the 8th grade band rehearsal Wednesday if at all possible.
Color guard will practice Wednesday after school and Thursday morning this week.
Performance Jazz will rehearse Friday morning.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Green Team:
Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

Just a reminder of some of the basic school rules--Please be Polite, Prompt, Productive, Prepared and Positive, and please no hats, no hoods, no phones. iPads should be used as directed by teachers. It is great to have you back! Want to head somewhere during period 7? Students must provide a pass to their teacher before heading out of their workshop classroom. Thank you!
