Please note that our school day officially begins at 8:10 with our cafeteria serving breakfast. All students should be in their homerooms no later than 8:30 and the period 1 class begins at 8:35.

Mahoney Concert Update
Good morning Mahoney! Apologies that our Mahoney Concert was cancelled. I was able to share with some students Monday that this is a real-life skill--the ability to be flexible and creative when posed with a challenge. Here is an update regarding our concert.
Monday March 19th we will present our Band Concert at Mahoney during the morning. The run time will be approximately 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Mahoney Auditorium. We will plan to present all of the numbers we have been working on.
Please note: 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Band will wear the White Mahoney T-shirt and jeans (no rips/holes) or blue pants.
If you are in Training Jazz, please wear the Red Mahoney Band T-shirt and jeans.
If you are Performance Jazz, please wear the Black Jazz T-shirt and jeans.
Program order will be posted in the auditorium. More details will be shared in classes tomorrow.
Please invite your parents and family members who may be able to join us at school for this event. We will have an opportunity to share our hard work with our school community and all are welcome!
Another Important Reminder:
Tuesday March 20th is the annual South Portland Jazz Night at SPHS in the cafeteria.
Please arrive by 5:45 p.m. for a sound check. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
This annual concert features every SP Jazz Group.
Training Jazz: Red Mahoney T and jeans Performance Jazz: Black Jazz T and jeans for this performance too!

Homework Club will start Monday and run from 2:50-3:50 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
SOPO Teen Center:
The Teen Center is open Monday through Thursday from 2:30-5:30 and closed on Fridays.

Please remember that there should not be any snowball throwing/making/fighting on school grounds, at bus stops or on your way to or from school.

Room 207 is open during IW days for students who want to use a laptop. Students can print, practice touch typing or learn to code. iPads are not in use in Rom 207.
