Yearbook: Yearbook pre sales has begun. The cost is $27 from not until April vacation. After vacation the price will increase. Please see Mr. Patashnik before or after school to pre order.

The SoPo Ultimate Frisbee Team plays in a league with Portland, Cape, Falmouth, Cumberland, Gorham, and Scarborough. Teams: 5-6th grade and 7-8th grade (both coed) Practice: Indoor Mon and Fri evenings at 6 pm until Wainwright is open for practice Games: 1-2 evenings a week and 3 half-day tournaments, dates TBDCOST: $65. ATTENTION SKI CLUB FAMILIES: We are still missing two sets of poles that were mistakenly picked up at the end of the night after our last trip. Please check the equipment brought home that night before it gets stored away. One set is black and gray Rossignol’s.
8th grade students and families. You are invited to South Portland High School Transition Night on Monday, March 16th, from 5:30-7 pm. There will be time to talk to teachers and school counselors, tour the school, and hear presentations from many wonderful high school folks. Please see the attached flier for lots of information.
Please tell your student to not go on Brown School property unless they are picking up a younger sibling.

Spring Sports: Spring sports sign ups are available and are outside the main office. The earliest start date would be April 6th, but it may be moved back due to the weather in the next few weeks. Here are the sports offered this Spring:
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

There will be IW for grades 7 and 8 this afternoon.
Here are the Math results from Tuesday’s meet:
GRADE 6 ~ Out of 23 teams
South Portland White Team came in 9th place with 141 points.
South Portland Red Team came in 14th place with 109 points.
Jasper Nichols (Mahoney) tied for 1st place with a perfect score of 40 points.
Gavin Sturges (Memorial) was the top scorer of the Red team with 31 points.

South Portland Red Team came in 4th place with 122 points.
South Portland White Team came in 8th with 89 points.
Reuben Saffer-Meng (Mahoney) came in 3rd place with 30 points.

Good luck to Mahoney’s Odyssey of the Mind teams as they travel to Brunswick and Biddeford this Saturday for the regional competition!

There is plenty of news about how to keep the germs away during cold and flu season. Please continue to use the soap in the bathroom, as well as the hand sanitizers located throughout the building during the day. Coughing and sneezing into your arm and away from others helps to lessen the spread of germs.

- To be eligible for athletics students need to maintain a 2.5 HOW average in all three HOW categories. Mr. Ouellet runs reports on Monday mornings; students and parents will be contacted if there is a concern of eligibility.
