All students involved in the Variety Show need to attend rehearsal today.
Spring Sports Update:
Outdoor track and Girls Lacrosse will start Monday April 8th.
Boys Lacrosse will not have practice tonight due to field conditions at Wainwright.
8th Grade Baseball will have practice this afternoon in the gym and tomorrow on the field.
Both 7th and 8th grade Softball will have practice at Mahoney tomorrow on the field.
7th Grade baseball will continue their practices Monday afternoon.
SOPO Ultimate will practice Friday from 6-8 in the Redbank Gym.
Plans for the South Portland Skate Park continue! Come to the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30 to show your support! Click here FMI regarding an upcoming meeting!
The Mahoney School Store is open for business every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the morning from 8:10-8:25.

Spring Jazz will meet next week on Tuesday, starting at 7:40 a.m. New members are invited!
Honors Jazz your festival is this Thursday and Friday. Your dues and fees need to be paid and you need to get to the HS after school for rehearsals.
Color Guard practices start Wednesday after school. Please meet outside the auditorium. The guard will also practice Thursday morning.
Performance Jazz will rehearse Friday morning only this week.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

There will be IW for grades 6 and 7 this afternoon - please come prepared!
Students, do you have any overdue books? Check you backpacks and your lockers.Students please return these books to the Library before April break. If students have any questions or concerns, see Ms. Gartley.
Attention Students! 4 pies will be thrown at 4 faces at the end of Mahoney’s Variety Show! Would you like a chance at being one of the pie throwers? Stop by the main office to buy some tickets to get a chance to throw a pie at Mr. Harmon, Mr. Risbara, Mr. Nee or Mr. Ouellet. All 4 are being great sports as all money raised supports Rippleffect. Tickets are one dollar each or 6 for five dollars.

Yearbook presale is happening now until April vacation. The cost is $27 and can be purchased with Mr. Patashnik before or after school. Yearbooks did sell out last year so come to preorder ASAP!
South Portland Middle School Ultimate Team: All students are welcome to join the Ultimate Frisbee team--learn to huck the disc and lay out! Practices will start indoors in April and then move outside when Wainwright fields are ready. The team will play games against other middle schools during the week and on several weekends. Sign up through the South Portland Rec Department: 767-7650.
