Our school day officially begins at 8:10 with our cafeteria serving breakfast. All students should be in their homerooms no later than 8:30 and the period 1 class begins at 8:35.
Summer STEM Club!
This year, STEM Club features two different courses at South Portland High School. Participation is free. Courses run from Monday, June 25 – Friday, June 29, from 9 am to 12 pm. Choose one of these exciting courses!
Surgical Techniques: Ever wondered how a heart works? Or how doctors make diagnoses and use their knowledge of the human body to help them heal? In this course, you’ll explore the brain and heart through dissections and learn how to perform medical procedures such as suturing cuts and biopsies.
Solar Energy: Could you really cook your own snack using solar energy? In this course, you’ll use your understanding of solar power to develop a solar powered robot and to build a solar oven—then use it!

SOPO Teen Center:
The Teen Center is open Monday through Thursday from 2:30-5:30 and closed on Fridays.
Music:
Performance Jazz will perform at the Betsy Ross house TODAY after school! Mrs. Barry needs volunteers to help load up during period 7. If you need help with a ride, you need to see Mrs. Barry ASAP.
All musicians, it’s time to get instruments home, return equipment and sign out instruments for the summer!
All training, performance and spring jazz members are asked to see Mrs. Barry for a pizza party invite. You must see her by this afternoon if you want to go.

All Spring Sports have finished. Please turn in your uniforms to your coach or to the main office ASAP.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.

The library is currently hosting an end-of-year book swap, and students may get permission slips for summer "bags of books" to take home.
