Thursday, November 17, 2016 Day 1 The past couple of years the PTA have asked students to sell Yankee Candle items in order to raise money. This year we have decided to do a 'No Frills' fundraiser. Many of you may be familiar with this idea. Instead of asking families to buy and sell items, we are looking for families to simply make a donation. Please click here for the details. As with any fundraiser, we thank you very much for your support! The Fall Sports Season is over. Please help your student-athlete to return all uniforms. Basketball season begins today, here is the practice schedule: 2:30-3:45 7th Boys 3:45-5 7th Girls 5-6:15 8th Girls 6:15-7:30 8th Boys Other winter sports such as Swimming and Indoor Track will begin in February. Homework Club runs from 2:30-3:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school to get help from staff members. Each day there are 2 adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome. Student Morning Announcements: The drama club will meet Friday after school. During the month of November the Mahoney Library is inviting students to participate in the Reading Without Walls challenge! Students, the cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 7:50. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. The chill in the air inside is an indication that cold weather is here. Please remember that you are expected to stay outside until the 7:35 bell rings. Be sure to dress warmly or plan to arrive after 7:35. Music: *Performance Jazz rehearses on Friday morning. We start at 7:15 a.m. sharp. Please sign in to homeroom first. *Training Jazz meets Thursday mornings. See Mrs. Barry to get your name on the list!
