PARENT NOTES:
All students should have received their First Day Paperwork today. Please do you best to fill out the required forms and have these returned ASAP. We thank you!
Sports:
Sport Sign ups can be found on the tables outside the main office. 6th graders can sign up for cross country and tennis; 7th and 8th graders can sign up for any of the sports offered.
Practices will begin Monday, September 10 for Soccer and Cross Country. Tennis and Field Hockey will begin on Tuesday.
Both boys and girls soccer and cross country will practice at Mahoney. Tennis practices at the high school courts and field hockey practices at Wainwright fields.
Shuttles are provided for practices off of Mahoney grounds, shuttle times will be solidified shortly with transportation, stay tuned!
There are preseason meetings this week, all held at Mahoney after school:
TONIGHT (THURSDAY) AFTER SCHOOL:
8th grade boys soccer in the auditorium
Cross Country will meeting in the gym
All girls soccer, 7th and 8th, will meet in 110.
TOMORROW’S (FRIDAY) MEETINGS:
7th Grade Boys Soccer - Friday in Room 110
Field Hockey - Friday in the Auditorium
Tennis - Friday in room 114
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Good Morning and welcome back or to Mahoney! We are happy you are here and look forward to the new year. Those students returning will remember Mahoney’s 5 Ps and when everyone tries their best to be kind, the day can be very successful!
Do you have any first day paperwork in your backpack or locker. Please bring them to the main office with teacher permission.
Just a reminder, phones should be turned off and either in your locker for the entire day!
If you haven’t yet, please take some time to notice the lovely artwork around the school
Please note that Brown Elementary has asked for our students to not head over to visit when you get dismissed here. It can get confusing for the younger students and so the adults’ focus will be on the younger students. Thank you!
