Thanks for taking out your earbuds, storing away your phones and focusing on learning during the school day and not texting.
As always with the snow on the ground make sure it stays there. No snowballs or snow fights before or after school. Also, students if you go out for movement or a quick walk around the building with your class, make sure you’re staying out of the snow unless you have proper gear!
Grades 6-8 will have indoor movement today. Teachers feel free to take students out for a walk or some fresh air.
The boys and girls club will be closed to all members today and Friday.
Access testing continues this week. Thank you for being quiet in the hallways. Teachers, thank you for reviewing the emails you receive about who is to be tested and help to get these students to the testing room in a timely manner!
BioME will be funding FOUR 1-week-long summer science camps at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone, ME. We will pay in full for 4 students aged 11-14 to attend the camp, room, board and transportation included. Each camp is valued at $800. All students here at Mahoney are eligible. Interested students should see Mrs. Stilphen for more information.
Game Club will be this Friday after school until 3:45 in Mr. Risbara’s room. All are welcome.
The 6th grade will be holding a 5th and 6th grade dance on Friday Feb 3 from 3 to 4:30 in the gym it will be NEON theme. There will be a DJ, refreshments, a movie room and game room and fun competitions on the dance floor. Your Connections teachers will have the details and the permission form. We hope this will be a fun time for all 5th and 6th graders.
