Yearbooks: Pre-order your yearbooks now! Sales are open until April vacation. Yearbooks are $27 a piece and can be ordered through Mr. Patashnik in room 122 before and after school. Don’t wait, yearbooks sold out last year!
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 2:50-3:50 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
SOPO Teen Center:
The Teen Center is open Monday through Thursday from 2:30-5:30 and closed on Fridays.

The instrument repair man is here today at 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Barry needs to see the Owen’s tuba, Eva F’s. baritone, Bonny’s alto sax and Leo’s tenor.
Beginner band meets today in 201 right after school.
Training Jazz will rehearse this week on Thursday morning.
Performance Jazz will rehearse this week Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Spring Sports Information:
Spring sports sign ups will continue this week, with the first spring practices will begin April 9nd (this date has been moved from 4/2 to allow fields another week to dry). Lacrosse - Open to 7th and 8th graders with each grade having its own team if numbers allow. Practices will be held after school at the Wainwright sports complex from 3:30-4:45. Shuttles will leave Mahoney at 3:00 and return approximately 5:15.
Baseball - Open to 7th and 8th graders with each grade having its own team if numbers allow. Practices will be held after school at Mahoney. Practices will start on Monday, April 9th, at Mahoney from 3:15-4:45.
Softball - Open to 7th and 8th graders with each grade having its own team if numbers allow. Practices will be held after school at the Wainwright sports complex from 3:30-4:45. Shuttles will leave Mahoney at 3:00 and return approximately 5:15.
Track and Field - Open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Practices will be held after school at Mahoney from 3:00-4:30.
SOPO Ultimate Frisbee - SOPO Rec. dept. does put together a 6-8 grade Ultimate Frisbee team. Practices are held at Wainwright fields and shuttles are provided from Mahoney to and from practices. Extra-Curricular Eligibility - All athletes need a signed athletic contract (once per school year), signed concussion waiver (once per school year) and an updated physical on file (good for two calendar years) in order to participate. Students also need to maintain a HOW average of 2.5 in each of the three HOW criteria. Forms to be signed can be found on the athletics website.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.

Room 207 is open during IW days for students who want to use a laptop. Students can print, practice touch typing or learn to code. iPads are not in use in Rom 207.
