Homework Club - Homework club will begin today in the Mahoney library. Homework club runs from 2:30-3:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school to get help from staff members. Each day there are 2 adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
R.O.L.E. (Rippleffect Outdoor Leadership Education) - The ROLE program is offered to 7th and 8th grade students from Maine middle schools and is designed to develop leadership, confidence, awareness and interpersonal skills through outdoor adventure programming. The ROLE program consists of 4, 2.5 hour after-school sessions, a long weekend to Cow Island and a culminating graduation ceremony. The Fall session of this program is currently full, but registrations are being taken for the Winter and Spring sessions. Mahoney's Flu Clinic is tomorrow October 18th at 10:00. Click here for more information and click here for the form to fill out to have your child get a flu shot at school. Homework club will begin today! For those that are unfamiliar Homework club runs Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in the library. This is a great opportunity for students to stay after school with Mahoney staff to get some extra help on assignments. Students, the cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 7:50. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
The chill in the air inside is an indication that cold weather is here. Please remember that you are expected to stay outside until the 7:35 bell rings. Be sure to dress warmly or plan to arrive after 7:35.

*District One 7 and 8 Honors Band audition practice sessions are Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning before school. Please see Mrs. Barry if there are conflicts. Students must see Mrs. Barry weekly in order to be prepared for the auditions next week, Wednesday October 26th!

This program will have three offerings throughout the year, for this Fall session at Mahoney we will take the first 14 students who return the filled out paperwork.
