The past couple of years the PTA have asked students to sell Yankee Candle items in order to raise money. This year we have decided to do a 'No Frills' fundraiser. Many of you may be familiar with this idea. Instead of asking families to buy and sell items, we are looking for families to simply make a donation. Please click here for the details. **Winter Sports Season Notes**
Homework Club - Homework club will begin this week in the Mahoney library. Homework club runs from 2:30-3:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school to get help from staff members. Each day there are 2 adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
R.O.L.E. (Rippleffect Outdoor Leadership Education) - The ROLE program is offered to 7th and 8th grade students from Maine middle schools and is designed to develop leadership, confidence, awareness and interpersonal skills through outdoor adventure programming. The ROLE program consists of 4, 2.5 hour after-school sessions, a long weekend to Cow Island and a culminating graduation ceremony. The Fall session of this program is currently full, but registrations are being taken for the Winter and Spring sessions. 7th and 8th grade basketball signups are outside the main office. The season will begin on Monday November 7th.
Homework club begins this week! For those that are unfamiliar Homework club runs Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in the library. This is a great opportunity for students to stay after school with Mahoney staff to get some extra help on assignments. Please know that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome!
Students, the cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 7:50. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
Drama Club: Wednesday we will not have auditions…...we will meet to discuss our fundraiser!
The chill in the air inside is an indication that cold weather is here. Please remember that you are expected to stay outside until the 7:35 bell rings. Be sure to dress warmly or plan to arrive after 7:35.

Choral Students who are auditioning for honors festival will be with sub and all others will be in workshop today!
*Performance Jazz rehearses on Tuesday and Friday mornings. We start at 7:15 a.m. sharp. Please sign in to homeroom first.
*Training Jazz meets Thursday mornings. See Mrs. Barry to get your name on the list! New members welcome!
*Beginner Band runs on Mondays immediately after school in room 201.
*District One 7 and 8 Honors Band audition practice sessions are Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning before school. Please see Mrs. Barry if there are conflicts. Auditions are this Wednesday October 26th! Good luck!

Soccer teams will also play their final games tonight vs. Memorial. All games will be played at the High School.

Students, we have had some concerns around students not finding their scooters after school. Please note that we do review our security footage to attempt to find out what happened. My hope is that we don’t have to worry about people taking things that aren’t theirs.
