Good Morning Mahoney students,
Don’t forget about Mahoney’s Blitz Chess tournament on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. 5 minutes plus 3 seconds per move. Chess is a fast paced game where players only have 5 minutes to play their moves. To join, check the Mahoney website and follow the instructions.
Students--Mr. Heffernan is setting up an on-line computer-simulation league run by Strat-O-Matic Baseball and will consist of each participant using a virtual budget to draft their own roster of MLB players from the 2020 season. They then will be making lineups along with many other roster & strategy-settings decisions along the way. Interested? Head to the Mahoney website for more details. Moms, Dads and grandparents are welcome to play, too!
Breakfast and Lunch: We will continue to offer pick up of free breakfast and lunch at each school as we have done throughout the fall. Pick-up of meals is along the side ramp at Mahoney from 9:45-10:30 a.m. or at Brick Hill and Red Bank from 11:30 a.m. -12:15 p.m.
Breakfast: Assorted Cereal, juice, fruit and milk
Lunch: Meatball Sub, French Fries, celery sticks, cookie, Fresh Fruit and milk
Students, please get in the habit of checking your email everyday. You never know what you might find and/or learn!
Gym behavior reminders. While it is hard to not think of running in the gym, please remember the safety rules. And no climbing over the fence when outside please!
Attention all students! Be sure that you have a book to read each day. Starting this third trimester, all afternoon Connections groups will read from at least 2:15-2:30. Reading is a good habit to get into!
Mrs Barry asks band members to check last week’s class stream and come get their treat today or Tuesday, before our next class Wednesday! Thanks
