Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.
Would you like to set up a lunch account for your student? Does your student need more money on his/her account? Head to myschoolbucks.com to take care of this!
Green Team:
Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

Student Morning Announcements: Friday, December 14, 2018 Day 6
The results of the 6th grade dance theme survey show that 6th graders want a Candy Cane themed dance. So please wear the colors of your favorite candy cane ---red and white or green and white to our Dance on Friday December 14. The cost is $6 per person and the time is 6-8pm. We look forward to a very merry time for all!
- In addition to dancing, there will be a movie option
- The student who most closely guesses the number of candy canes in a jar WINS the whole thing at the end of the night
- Join us for snowflake creation at the craft table, probably headed by Mr. Harmon. (!!!)
- Prizes: Will your candy-cane/red & white outfit be the winning one? Three top winners will be chosen.
