Thank you for helping the PTA with your support for our Yankee Candle fundraiser. With your help selling Yankee Candles, online orders, and donations we have raised over $2,000 for our PTA. Congratulations to Ms Pitt’s homeroom, you are the winner of our Breakfast Treat Party which will happen shortly! Thank you to all the teachers, students, and families who helped support our PTA.
The South Portland Clubhouse is offering the following for our middle schoolers:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine Middle School Debate Team – Practice Fridays 4:30-6:00 pm starting 10/13 at the Portland Clubhouse, meets against Yarmouth Middle School, Cape Elizabeth Middle School, NYA, and Falmouth Middle School. Transportation to and from practice can be provided by the South Portland Clubhouse. This is the second year we have competed in this league.
Mindstorms – Lego Robotics. Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 pm, starting 10/17 at the South Portland Clubhouse. Build your EV3 robot and put the robot through programming challenges.

Sports Notes:
Boys Soccer practice @ Mahoney, 3:00-4:30.
7th Grade Girls Soccer practice @ Mahoney, 3:00-4:30
NO 8th Grade Girls Soccer practice tonight.
Field Hockey @ Portland (Dougherty Field). 3:00 bus, 4:00 game start.
No Cross Country practice - the season has ended.
No Tennis practice - the season has ended.
***As seasons come to a close, please drop off clean uniforms to the office ASAP!
Civil rights will meet Monday morning at 7:30 in room 203, breakfast will be provided!
Ipad photography group will meet days 1 and 3 during workshop in room 209. Anyone who is not drafted is free to attend.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday 8:10-8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. The instrument repair man will be here every Monday at 1:00 p.m. Please bring them to 201 and make sure you see Mrs. Barry.
Performance Jazz rehearses Tuesday and Friday mornings each week.
Training Jazz continues on Thursday. If you missed last week, come on by!
7th and 8th Honors audition prep rehearsals are Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning. Auditions are Wednesday October 25th.
Beginner Band meets Monday after school.
