Attention 6th grade Parents!!!
Can you believe it's almost time for the 5th and 6th grade dance?! Seems like yesterday that we were welcoming in your kids to the dance as incoming 6th graders! The dance will be held Friday May 31st from 6-8 pm and as always is $6 to get in.
Parents we need your help, we couldn't do this without you.
We have a list of items that are needed (see sign up link below) and if you can donate please let Marissa Lyons know what you can bring and you can drop it off during the school day or at 6pm with your child attending the dance!

Most important for 8th band members and invited 7th to Peak’s Island tomorrow morning: Please make note of all information on your white sheet--equipment needs, uniform, arrival time! See you at the ferry early tomorrow!
All 6th 7th and 8th grade band members here we go! Instruments MUST go home today so you have them for the parades this weekend. If you forget, Mrs. Barry will be at Mahoney at 8:30 Monday morning before the parade. Remember the information from the blue form: t-shirt, jeans, instrument, arrival time and care of instrument. Left foot first!
All band members must bring instruments back to school Tuesday for rehearsals next week.
Spring Jazz will rehearse Tuesday morning next week.
The Mahoney Spring Concert is WEDNESDAY!
Performance Jazz will rehearse Friday morning.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

Last night the 7th grade girls softball team played Ta Ryan Hillier hit a double and Ella Nickerson hit a homeroom and Andrea did a great job pitching. Great game everyone!
