PARENT NOTES:
WINTER RIPPLEFFECT:
Rippleffect is back for a winter session at Mahoney. This session is for ROLE alumni and/or hyper-motivated 7th or 8th graders. This session begins at the end of January and will culminate with a weekend-long overnight in the White Mountains. Paperwork is available in the main office and is due back by January 15th. As of Jan. 10 there are only 2 spots left!
Here are the dates:
Parent Meeting: January 22 - 6:00
Session 4 February 26, 2:45-5:15
Session 1: January 29, 2:45-5:15
Expedition to White Mountains February 28 through Sunday March 1.
Session 2: February 5, 2:45-5:15
Session 3 February 12, 2:45-5:15
Graduation: March 4 - 6:00

Second Winter Season:
All semester course scores will be final at the end of the semester. Students need to make sure that they are talking with their teachers and making sure they have their assignments completed. If there are absences or other issues that would allow for an extension, this would be determined by the teacher and student PRIOR to the close of the semester. When in doubt, it is always a good idea to ask the teacher! Our semester will end January 17.

The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

The instrument repair man will be here Monday at 1:00 p.m.
Honor Jazz audition help will be offered Monday before school.
7th/8th honors Band rehearsal will be Monday after school.
Performance Jazz will be Tuesday and Friday mornings.
6th Honors band will rehearse Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning--see Mrs. Barry
Training Jazz will rehearse Thursday morning.
There is a lot going on right now--please check your Google Classroom group and talk with mrs. Barry. Rehearsals are important and tricky to schedule!
7th grade band will have yearbook pictures taken next Monday during class.
8th grade band will have yearbook pictures taken next Wednesday during class.

- The swimming and indoor track season will begin with practices on February 3rd.

- To continue to be eligible for athletics students need to maintain a 2.5 HOW average in all three HOW categories. Mr. Ouellet runs reports on Monday mornings; students and parents will be contacted if there is a concern of eligibility.
