Please note that our school day officially begins at 8:10 with our cafeteria serving breakfast. All students should be in their homerooms no later than 8:30 and the period 1 class begins at 8:35.
Homework Club will start Monday and run from 2:50-3:50 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday 8:10-8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time. The Snowball Dance is tonight at Mahoney from 6-8. Remember school dances are for Mahoney students only.
Sports Notes
8th grade girls basketball will practice from 4:30-5:30 at the SP Rec Center
There are no other basketball practices at Mahoney this afternoon due to the Snowball Dance.
All basketball teams will play tomorrow at SPHS vs Memorial.
7th grade boys - 9:00, 7th grade girls - 10:15.
8th grade boys - 11:30, 8th grade girls - 12:45.
Any student who wants to ride the van to the Boys and Girls club needs to pick up a form in the Main office.

There is IW for grades 7 and 8 this afternoon. Bring something in paper and pencil to work on!
Please remember that there should not be any snowball throwing/making/fighting on school grounds, at bus stops or on your way to or from school.
There will be a Civil Rights Team Meeting on Monday morning in room 203 @ 7:30. Yearbook pictures will be taken and breakfast will be served!

7th grade boys improve to 11-0 with a 30 point win over Lyman Moore last night. Pierce Kazakos and Joey Hanlon lead the raiders with 12 points a piece and Jack Smart chipped in with 4.
No Basketball practices at Mahoney this afternoon. Girls 8th grade basketball will practice from 4:30-5:30 at the Community Center.
Tomorrow all Basketball teams will play at the High School vs. Memorial.

Training and Performance Jazz rehearsals next week;
Performance will rehearse Tuesday and Friday, and Training Jazz will meet on Thursday morning.

6th honors band will rehearse Wednesday after school
7th and 8th honors band will practice Tuesday after school today and Wednesday morning. Please let Mrs. Barry know which rehearsal you can attend, and remember to bring your honors music and instrument.
The instrument repair man will visit Mahoney on Monday. Please have your instrument in room 201 before then.
Library:
There are currently 157 books due back to the library. Please check your lockers, backpacks, desks, and at home and return your overdue library books before the end of the semester.
