CIVIL RIGHTS: There will be a Civil Rights meeting Monday morning at 7:40 in room 203.

Color guard will practice Wednesday after school and Thursday morning this week.
Performance Jazz will rehearse Friday morning.
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Mahoney's Environmental Club is called the Green Team, we meet on Tuesday afternoons, right after school in room 108, Mrs. Pitt's room.

THere will be a Civil Rights meeting Monday morning at 7:40 in room 203.
In sports action last night:
Our Grade 8 Baseball team won its third straight game Thursday with a 5-0 win over Portland. SP pitchers Nolan Hobbs, Nick Swain and Alec Campbell combined for the shutout -- allowing only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 16 Portland batters over 7 innings. Leo Lomangino walked and scored a run for SP while Noah Erskine contributed a base hit that also led to a run.

It is great to have you back! Want to head somewhere during period 7? Students must provide a pass to their teacher before heading out of their workshop classroom. Thank you!
