We are loving seeing your door decorations take shape! Door decorations will be judged on March 24th and 25th so there is still plenty of time to create an amazing door that represent your country.
Today is the last day of our SSR challenge for the Reading Olympics. Ms. Broda’s group, representing Brazil, edged ahead of Mr. Kozaka’s group yesterday. Ms. Lefebvre’s class, representing Hungary, is close behind. It’s still anyone’s race, though! Teachers, don’t forget to log your minutes.
Next week we will be doing a book review challenge. Forms are available in the library. Stay tuned for more details.

Game Club will meet today after school.
Homework Club is offered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week from 3-4. This is a great place to head after school to get some work done in a quiet place with a helpful adult.

Mahoney’s lost and found is located right outside the main office right next to the water fountain. There are a bunch of items both on top of and inside the red Mahoney box, if you’re missing something, check it out!

Everyone, this is a reminder about the importance of keeping your mask on, over your mouth and nose while in the building.
Reminder that masks are only off when students are eating and drinking while sitting at their desks (not moving around the classroom or hallways).
Music:
Today in band–students are encouraged to self-draft with Mrs. Barry. Monday is combined 7-8 band. All 7th and 8th graders are asked to bring all combined and separate music for Monday.
Jazz Band will rehearse Tuesday next week for all members. We start at 7:45. New members are always welcome!
The Mahoney Band Concert is next week, Wednesday March 16th. The concert will be at the HS; band members need to arrive by 6:00 p.m. with all materials and the concert will start at 6:30 p.m. All Mahoney community members are invited–students need to be in the company of their parent.
Color Guard–what’s color guard?! If you’ve ever been to a parade, you know what color guard is–those people in the front of the band performing choreographed moves and flag work that coordinates with the music! And Mahoney is working to bring it back! If this sounds interesting to you, see Mrs. Barry in Room 203 today! This group is open to any 6th, 7th or 8th grader.

Although it feels early Spring sports signups are out. Practices begin April 11th, weather dependent.
All grades can participate in outdoor Track and it is a Mahoney based team.
7th and 8th graders can participate in Lacrosse and Baseball/Softball. These teams are combined with Memorial.
