Monday, October 31, Day 4

Happy Halloween–as always, the focus should be on the teaching and learning and not have distractions in the classroom.  Thank you for keeping your holiday spirit in check until after school.  

Student Council wishes to thank all who participated during Spirit Week! It was such fun to see all of your outfits and we are looking forward to providing more fun activities throughout the year. If you have any ideas, please feel free to send them our way or to join us at one or all of our meetings. You are always welcome! Speaking of which…Student Council will be meeting this Wednesday morning, November 2 at 7:45 in Ms. Schmearer’s room, room 213. Feel free to join us!

Friday, October 28, Day 3


The much anticipated Mahoney Raider wear is on sale and has been extended through the weekend and we will accept checks on Monday. Check the Mahoney website for more information on ordering!

Today is the last day of our spirit week.  Thank you to student council for organizing 

The South Portland U13 Strikers Girls team has made it to the State semi finals and play Westbrook on Sunday - Good luck to our student athletes!

The Mahoney girls soccer team lost yesterday 3 to 1 against Falmouth.  Maci Raucher scored the Mahoney goal and, as always, all the girls played with heart and determination.  Jillian Edgar and Elizabeth Leeman led the defense with help from all teammates.
 
Girls, please turn in all uniforms as soon as possible to room 221.

With the football team having a home game tonight, we encourage students from throughout the community to support our high school teams and enjoy a positive experience at our events.  To provide a safe environment for all of our student spectators, elementary and middle school students attending South Portland High School athletic contests must be accompanied by and under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or responsible adult chaperone at all times during contests.  Game staff will be monitoring entry points to our facilities to ensure young children do not attend games unsupervised.  Students who are unsupervised will be asked to call home and for parents to come pick them up

​Thank you to all who participated in Twin Tuesday. It was great to see all of your Mahoney wear, as well as your red and white colors! Today is Sports Wednesday. Have fun! Don’t forget that tomorrow is Throwback Thursday. Dress like someone from another decade!
