Good pitching and great defense were the main reasons for the win. The team is now 6 and 0 The 8th grade baseball team defeated St. Brigid on Friday by a score of 7-1. Dylan Bolduc pitched 6 innings, only giving up 1 run with 13 strikeouts. Noah Lewis came in to close out the game in the 7th. Anthony Perron, Tyler Small, Hunter Owen, Noah Lewis had hits in the game. Todays game is away vs. Gorham. Want to order sports photos? The 7th Grade girls softball defeated Thornton 11-7. Chloe Grant pitched 7 innings for the win. Chloe Blanchette, Chloe Grant, Sky Jordan, Kiley Matthews, Chloe MacVane and Iman Adem all had hits. Fiona Stawarz had 4 hits including a home run. The 7th grade baseball team won 10-0 yesterday. Jayce Gerry threw 7 no-hit innings, striking out 12. 11 players reached based in the game, highlighted by Anthony Nixon's 3-run triple. Their next game is Monday at Mahoney at 3:30. The 8th Grade Girls Lacrosse team lost a tough game to Gorham, 11-6. Great offense by Kelsey Shallow and a huge improvement on defense made the game a success! Sports Notes Both the Mahoney boys and girls track team won their meets on Monday against Lyman Moore, Windham and Southern Maine Christian . Individual event winners for the boys were Liam Flaherty, Finn O'Connel, Jayden Wallace Mainit, Keenan Jones, Oscar Sullivan and Liam Piper . Paul Zechman was a double event winner. The boys team also had 8 second place finishes. The girls beat a strong Windham team by 12 points. Individual event winners were Marcella Hesser, Ally Richards, Jordan Hulsey, and Emily Rich. Maddie Drolet, Eva Tedford and Marina Brandao were double event winners. The 6th grade and 8th grade girls relay teams also won. Just a reminder that today (Wednesday) is picture day for the track team. On Monday 8th grade softball girls defeated Bonney Eagle 8-2. Another good defensive game by the girls. Aileen Campbell went 3 for 3 and Sara Folan had two hits. The girls are 4 and 0 for the season.
