SOPO Ultimate practice will be from 3:00-4:30 at Mahoney. Players should meet in the back parking lot, practice will be on the side field at Mahoney or across the street in Mill Creek park.
Spring Sports: Regular Practice Schedule
- Softball - Practice @ Wainwright. Shuttle leaves Mahoney at 3:00 and returns approx. 4:45.
- Baseball - Practice @ Mahoney from 3:00-4:45.
- Outdoor Track - Practices start 4/8 @ Mahoney from 3:00-4:15.
- Girls LAX - Practice @ Wainwright. Shuttle leaves Mahoney at 3:00 and returns approx. 4:45.
- Boys LAX - Practice @ Wainwright. Shuttle leaves Mahoney at 3:00 and returns approx. 4:45.

The first full marching practice for all 6th, 7th and 8th band members and color guard is this Thursday May 2nd. See you there!
Sports Eligibility: Students must maintain a 2.5 HOW score, have an up to date physical on file and have signed up electronically through RankOne sports management. The website can be found here (https://southportland.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx).
Brown Elementary has asked us to remind students to not come on school grounds as they leave Mahoney in the afternoon. There is a lot of activity as the elementary students are dismissed and the adults are helping the younger students hop on the right bus or make their way to their parents. Thank you for reinforcing this with your student.
Homework Club runs from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Homework club is an opportunity for students to stay after school and complete homework or study in a quiet and safe setting.. Each day there will be at least one adult to supervise and support students. Please note that only students who plan on using this time productively are welcome.
The cafeteria is open for breakfast everyday until 8:25. Please know that only those that are eating breakfast should be in the cafeteria at this time.

Student Morning Announcements: Tuesday, April 30, Day 6
Sports Update:
Last night The Grade 8 baseball team battled until the end, but lost its first game of the season to Westbrook on Monday 5-2. Noah Erskine reached base twice and Nick Swain pitched a scoreless final inning for the SP team. SP also had 11 different batters reach base at least once, but stranded 12 runners overall. The Grade 8 team plays next at Windham on Friday.
Tonight’s SOPO Ultimate practice will be here at Mahoney from 3-4:30; please meet in the back parking lot after changing up.
All other practices are on as scheduled tonight; be sure to listen to 11:05 and 2:05 announcements in the event that some are changed.
